內容簡介👨🏿✈️：The COVID-19 crisis reveals that economic institutions lack the tools to fos ter a firm’s organizational resilience (OR) for development. Using evidence from China, we document that traditional culture causally promotes a firm’s OR amid crisis. Causal mediation analysis shows that this is achieved through increasing the firm’s internal control; in contrast, moderation effect estimates indicate that external control proxies causally weaken the promotional effect of interest, thereby indirectly confirming the effectiveness of internal control. Essentially, our findings suggest that when institutions fail, firm resilience and ultimately economic development rely on traditional culture in some Asian countries.
個人簡介👩🏽🍼：趙來勛，博士，神戶大學經濟經營研究所教授。承擔Nomura Foundation (野村證券基金), International Labor Organization (國際勞工組織), JSPS (日本學術振興會), JCER (日本經濟研究中心)等項目🙁，擔任Journal of International Trade & Economic Development, Japanese Accounting Review, International Economic Journal, Review of Development Economics等多家SSCI/SCI國際學術期刊的聯合主編、主編、副主編和特邀主編職務🧑🏻🔧。曾獲日本國際經濟學會的小島清獎🤰🏼。主要授課和研究方向為International Economics, Managerial Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Economic Development等🔼。在Journal of Development Economics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Labor Economics 等國外頂尖或權威期刊發表/接受論文數十篇，編著學術著作2部。
